Large Demand Met with Small Footprint

When space is limited, and the need is great, you think outside of the tank. 

A renowned professional football stadium in Santa Clara, California has served as the home of the 49ers since 2014.  Praised for its environmental sustainability, the stadium is one of the largest buildings registered with the U.S. Green Building Council.  It is multi-use and can be configured for events such as concerts and indoor/outdoor conferences.

The new construction project called for a high output water heater for the scrubbers in the stadium.  The catch? The water-heating unit needed to be installed in the already packed mezzanine.  Intellihot was brought in to help to meet the challenge of installing a water heater that could provide high output of hot water at 60 GPM and 140 degrees F.  Also, because there was little room to spare in the mezzanine, and for safety and aesthetic reasons, installing a tank type water heater was not an option. 

Intellihot’s solution was a single floor-standing iQ1001 unit that supplies more than enough on-demand hot water for the stadium’s scrubbers.  Given its tankless design, it saved valuable space with its small footprint.  It was also aesthetically appealing.
