Large Demand Met with Small Footprint

When space is limited, and the need is great, you think outside of the tank.

A renowned professional football stadium in Santa Clara, California has served as the home of the 49ers since 2014.  Praised for its environmental sustainability, the stadium is one of the largest buildings registered with the U.S. Green Building Council.  It is multi-use and can be configured for events such as concerts and indoor/outdoor conferences.

The new construction project called for a high output water heater for the scrubbers in the stadium.  The catch? The water-heating unit needed to be installed in the already packed mezzanine.  Intellihot was brought in to help to meet the challenge of installing a water heater that could provide high output of hot water at 60 GPM and 140 degrees F.  Also, because there was little room to spare in the mezzanine, and for safety and aesthetic reasons, installing a tank type water heater was not an option.

Intellihot’s solution was a single floor-standing iQ1001 unit that supplies more than enough on-demand hot water for the stadium’s scrubbers.  Given its tankless design, it saved valuable space with its small footprint.  It was also aesthetically appealing.

Endless water, Zero waste

The systems are smart from the moment they start running.  They begin to learn typical usage patterns, and adapt, heating up the amount of water that’s needed.  While traditional boilers run 24/7/365 waiting to be used, Intellihot systems heat water on demand and keep it flowing when and where people need it.  The process conserves up to 40 percent of the energy lost in traditional water heating methods.

Less is more

The systems help save money, time and space from installation to operation.  The technology, which is grounded in robotics and marine engines design, delivers up to 1.5 million BTUs with no storage tanks.  The iQ1501 learns your building recirculation patterns so it can automatically power on pumps and set the temperature to minimize cost without losing comfort.  With all the power of alternative systems at a fraction of the size, the design makes space-hogging boilers and storage tanks totally obsolete.

Too smart to fail

As robust as diesel engines, Intellihot systems are built for decades of like-new operation.  Reliability is designed into every inch, from maintenance-free heat exchangers to systems that deliver industrial water capacities without risk of single-point failure.

Change made effortless

Technology should adapt to people, not the other way around.  The systems are simple to install, use and maintain — for your customers and your customers’ customers.
